Fernanda Branco founded MoA in 2006 as an independent performance company rooted in Physical Theater. The work frequently cross with other arts such as Visual, Dance and Music.
The theatrical approach co-relates movement and voice, creating strong and provocative images built on non-realistic expressions. The work uses often a variety of languages, focusing on their sonorous aspect and particular roots. The performances has a strong relation with Installation Art designed to transform the perception of the space.
MoA’s productions seek to work with unconventional venues and site-specific performances. By enhancing each venue’s particular voice, a renewed relation between performer, audience and space aspire.
Branco has been working with solos as well as collaborative performances together with invited artists. Since 2011 MoA has three new integrants as the company maintain a steady research and practice towards creations.
